Giving to Aquinas

If you were in the seminary or the convent in 1926, the year classes met at Aquinas Institute for the first time, you had no financial worries. Religious orders or bishops would have covered all your expenses for the duration of your studies. In most cases, tuition charges were not even listed.

Today the situation is different. All of our students – religious, lay and seminarians alike – pay more than $10,000 a year in tuition. While seminarians and vowed religious come forward to study with the support of their respective order, lay students receive no such financial assistance. They meet their educational expenses with a combination of scholarships, loans, and part-time work.

Private gift support from religious communities, former students, friends and foundations has helped Aquinas Institute uphold its Dominican values for over 75 years, while constantly revitalizing and strengthening programs in response to the changing needs of the Church. We invite you to partner with us to continue our mission.

  • Annual Fund - The Aquinas Annual Fund provides financial support for our mission of theological education and benefits the future leaders of the Church.
  • Endowed Gifts - Endowed gifts provide for scholarships, endowed chairs, and the continued academic excellence of Aquinas Institute.
  • Planned Giving - Friends of Aquinas Institute can play a significant role in ensuring the future financial resources for the school.
  • Reasons to Give - Aquinas Institute of Theology is committed to forming and sustaining ministers with the pastoral and theological knowledge to serve the People of God through a comprehensive program of ministerial preparation.
