Life at Aquinas

Aquinas Institute students value the community experience that they receive here. From their first moments on campus, students feel a unique integration of mind and heart, theory and practice, and academic and pastoral training.

Academics

A ministry degree from Aquinas Institute incorporates strong academics, field education and spiritual formation to help students develop their own ministerial style. Our students benefit from regular exchange with students from other denominations in the classroom and through cross-registration at other local seminaries.

Student Participation

Our students' opinions mean a lot to us. Aquinas Institute students participate in various committees that help determine academic program and curriculum development, as well as faculty search committees. In addition, our Student Life Committee plans activities centered on social life, education, prayer, and social justice.

Aquinas Institute and Saint Louis University

Situated on the beautifully landscaped campus of Saint Louis University, Aquinas Institute offers access to all the academic resources and services of a large Jesuit university. Students may cross-register in SLU theology and philosophy courses, as well as other departments of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Payment of the student fee entitles Aquinas students to a SLU email account; access to the library, student center, computer center, recreation center, health center, counseling and guidance services, co-op stores; and the campus shuttle service. Aquinas Institute students may also attend numerous University events.

Living in St. Louis

In addition to all of the amenities and activities available to Aquinas Institute students on Saint Louis University's campus, the city of St. Louis offers a wealth of cultural and recreational activities.
